Kurt Angle on who he wishes he could’ve wrestled: “Bret Hart. I think he’s one of the best technical wrestlers of all time”

Olympic gold medalist and WWE and TNA Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently appeared on the Grue Rume podcast, where he divulged which professional wrestlers he enjoys watching, which WWE superstar he believes is underrated and one of his dream opponents with whom he never had a chance to share the squared circle during his career.

According to Angle, two professional wrestlers which he enjoys watching the most include Kenny Omega from AEW and Ricochet from WWE.

“I like watching Kenny Omega wrestle for AEW,” Angle said. “He’s a great wrestler. A great athlete. I love the guys, wrestlers like Ricochet in WWE. I think he’s really underrated. I think a guy like that can be a huge main eventer for the company and draw a lot of money for them. The matches that he has are just incredible.”

As far as was what said by Kurt Angle on who he wishes he could’ve wrestled, the American Hero brought up none other than the Excellence of Execution himself, Bret Hart.

“Bret Hart, I would have loved to work with Bret Hart,” Angle said. “I think he’s one of the best technical wrestlers of all time. I put him up there with Chris Benoit, myself, and Eddie Guerrero, and I would have loved to work with him. He was the one guy when I got in the business that I was kind of focused on. This is who I want to work with eventually, someday. Unfortunately, he left the WWE a year before I came in, and he ended up getting injured in WCW and had to retire. So it was unfortunate. I didn’t get to wrestle him. Bret and I talk about it all the time. The one person he would have loved to wrestle was me. And, you know, we call each other every once in a while, and we talk about what would have been and what could have been, but the only thing it does is it ends up making us depressed. So we don’t talk about that much anymore.”
