Eagles defense will be exposed by Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, says 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk

With Super Bowl LVII only one short week away, there has been a deluge of predictions for the game’s outcome from fans, analysts and NFL players alike. One of the latest NFL players shared his thoughts on who will win Super Bowl LVII is 49ers’ wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk; despite the fact that his team was eliminated by the 49ers in the NFC Conference Championship game, Aiyuk believes that Kansas City will pose plenty of problems for Philadelphia, and that the Eagles defense will be exposed by the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.

“I got the Chiefs [to win]. I think the Chiefs [will win]. I just think they have their hands full,” Aiyuk explained to Brad Graham, a reporter for TheSFNiners. “I don’t know fully about that defense [Eagles], they talk about them being a good defense. I’m not too sure, I’m not sure. I think the pass game, the Kansas City pass game will expose what we thought we were going to be able to expose before some unfortunate circumstances happened, so we’ll see.”

Aiyuk added in the same interview that if he were to bet on the game, he’d go with the Chiefs. “If I were going to bet on this game, I would go take everything that I own, get it in cash, and put my money on the Kansas City Chiefs.”

Aiyuk reiterated the sentiment with Grant Cohn of SI.com and added that the Eagles got lucky in their win over the 49ers.

The 49ers finished the 2022 season with a 15-5 record. One of the biggest moves they made this season was acquiring top tier running back Christian McCaffrey from the Carolina Panthers, who gained 1,210 yards rushing and scored 10 touchdowns in only 11 games with the Niners.

Bradon Aiyuk finished the regular season with 78 receptions, 1,015 receiving yards, setting career highs in all the aforementioned categories. Despite their winning record and stellar offensive production, the 49ers were plagued by injuries at the quarterback position, which we explained in more detail in our article concerning NFL analyst Keyshawn Johnson’s thoughts on Tom Brady being a good fit as 49ers QB.

Do you think the Eagles defense will be exposed by the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, as 49ers wide receiver Bradon Aiyuk seems adamant about? Let us know in the comments.
