Bron Breakker has made a big impact since stepping up from NXT to the WWE (he made his premiere on Monday Night RAW back in May of 2024), winning the Intercontinental championship twice (once off of Sami Zayn and subsequently off Jey Uso), a title he’s held since October of 2024. Since then, the second-generation (he’s the son of Rick Steiner and nephew of Scott “Big Poppa Pump” Steiner) powerhouse wrestler has successfully defended his title against big names like Sheamus and more recently had a big showing in the 2025 Royal Rumble, particularly a sequence against the longest-reigning WWE Heavyweight champion in the modern era, Roman Reigns.
In that sequence, Breakker seemingly got the better of Reigns, hitting him with a high-speed, high-impact spear. Although Reigns would eventually reverse Breakker’s attempt to eliminate him from the Rumble, Breakker still held his own against the biggest name in the company, reinforcing the belief that Breakker will eventually be the “next big thing” in the WWE in his own right.
WWE wrestler Luke Gallows agrees that Breakker had a “great showing” at the 2025 Royal Rumble and thinks that more “breakout” moments for Breakker are on the way.

“I thought that would have been a massive breakout moment for Bron Breakker, but he’s going to get it, it’s coming,” Gallows said on a recent episode of the Talk ‘n’ Shop podcast. “He’s a good kid, he’s awesome, he looks cool. He reminds me of what … I always think of wrestling like this — and he, for me, 10-year-old Drew Hankinson at Northeast Elementary would’ve been like, ‘Oh, hell yeah, this is cool,’ and that’s always the measuring stick for me.”
Gallows added, “If I looked at it through a child’s eyes, I would’ve thought he’s a cool wrestler and I would’ve wanted his action figure, that makes me think — if his head stays on right — he’s going to have a lengthy, super cool, successful career. He could’ve won last night, he didn’t need to [because] it’s going to come down the road.”
Gallows’ tag team partner and co-host Karl Anderson agreed with Gallows’ sentiments, stating that his young son was a big fan of Breakker and was excited to see Breakker emphatically spear YouTuber IShowSpeed during the event. Breakker lasted 22 minutes and 25 seconds in the 2025 Royal Rumble and eliminated Carmelo Hayes, Otis and Santos Escobar.
